PEIL FAOI 12: We have a very busy couple of weeks ahead, so, please, get out the calendar app: (i). Training: we’ve training this Thursday evening (27th) on the astroturf at the IT Tralee North Campus, Dromtacker; time to be confirmed. (ii). Cork trip: our U12 galácticos will hit the road for the first time this season…on Saturday (29th) next…with a trip to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to take on the reigning Cork champions, Douglas. We’re all looking forward immensely to what should be a fantastic day out and, in particular, playing on the new 4G pitch in ‘De Park’! The bus will leave Connolly Park at 10am sharp on Saturday morning. Please contact either Pa Laide (086 2327283) or Shane Lynch (086 6063230) to confirm availability. (iii). ‘Timberland Kitchens & Flooring’ Town League: all 3 teams are in action this Sunday (1st March). We’ll have a double header in Connolly Park against the John Mitchel Club with both Team 1 and Team Amber in action. Team Black will be away to the Kerins-O’Rahilly Club; venue to be confirmed. The throw-in for all matches is scheduled for 4pm but that may be subject to change. We will of course confirm all time and venue details with parents before the weekend. (iv). U12 Boys Training Fund: we launched our fundraising drive after training last Saturday with each player receiving a fundraising card with 25 lines @ €2 per line. Duaiseanna: 1st prize – a hamper worth €250; 2nd prize – a dinner voucher for two. All fundraising cards and monies are to be returned to an U12 mentor prior to our big table quiz which will take place on Sunday 8th March in the clubhouse. The funds raised will be used to purchase a new set of jerseys, training tops and footballs for the group and, so, we respectfully ask all parents, families (and neighbours!) to support the boys. (v) NA RIALACHA IMEARTHA: (1). Five goal rule…goals scored after the 5th goal count as points. (2). Time duration: 50 minutes (25 minutes per half). (3). Playing area from 20m line to 20m line and c. 45m wide. (4). The player who is fouled takes the free kick. (5). The player nearest to the sideline where ball goes out takes the kick. (6). Goalkeeper may advance 10m for a kick out. (7). Player can carry the ball for a maximum of 2 movements…2 solos or 1 bounce and 1 solo. (8). ‘45’s to be taken from 40m. (9). Games can be 11 a-side; B teams may play 9/10 a-side.
SCÓR na bPÁISTÍ: The Tralee area finals must be completed by April 5th. The South Kerry (semi-final) will take place at 3pm on Saturday April 18th. The North Kerry (semi-final) will take place at 1pm on Sunday April 19th. County finals: Monday May 4th.

PEIL FAOI 16: (i) Training will be held as usual on Sunday morning next at 10.45am in the Bishop’s Field. The gym has been booked for Wednesday evenings from 6.15pm and, so, all players are asked to be ready for action at 6.15pm. Don’t forget the foam rollers, the bands and plenty of CO2 (uisce). (ii) We’ll have a Street Collection on Saturday 7th March and, so, it’ll be important that everyone will be available. All hands on deck, boys! Details will follow. (iii) We are hoping to organise an away trip to the Mayo v Kerry game on Saturday 29th Feburary and this will include another challenge game against Cathair na Mart (Westport). (ii) Frewen Cup (U16½): The Green CBS lads gave a great performance and played their hearts out v Coláiste Bhréanainn in the Munster final of the Frewen Cup competition on Wednesday (26th) last. SCÓR na SINSEAR: (i) Senior Scór for the Tralee District Board and the Bordcheantar Naomh Breandán areas will be held at Na Gaeil Club on Friday 6th March at 8.30pm. (ii) The Senior Scór county finals will be held on Saturday March 14th. Times: quiz at 4pm and stage items at 5.30pm. (iii) The Munster finals will be held in Cappamore on Saturday March 28th. (iv) The All-Ireland finals will take place in the INEC, Killarney, at 3pm on April 25th. Entries need to be received by Margaret before the end of February.
