PEIL FAOI 12: Our (nearly) two score and ten footballers will gather once again at the ITT Ní neart le cur le chéile!! This Academy hall will be our home for the next 4 weeks and both mentors and players alike are really enjoying the sessions. PEIL FAOI 16: (i) (a) These boys have started back training on Sunday mornings and will continue each Sunday morning for the next few weeks. Training will be held in the Bishop’s Field at 10.45am. (b) They’ll be in the gym on Wednesdays from 6.15pm and, ergo, all are asked to be ready to roll at 6.15pm. Please remember to bring foam rollers, bands and plenty of water. (ii) Best wishes to these lads on their first U16 competitive outing of the 2020 season on Saturday next (Lá ‘le Bríde) at 2.30pm v buachaillí na Gaillimhe. Go n-éirí libh, a bhuachaillí!
SCÓR na bPÁISTÍ: (i) Scór na bPáistí is for performers who attend primary school and it is now time to prepare. Has our club boys or girls who might have a go at singing a song, telling a story, singing with a group, playing with a group of musicians or joining the quiz lads! We are one of the few clubs that could enter three competitors/groups in each competition….club na gcailíní, club na mbuachaillí, club na hiománaíochta. (ii) The Tralee area finals must be completed by April 5th. The South Kerry (semi-final) will take place at 3pm on Saturday April 18th. The North Kerry (semi-final) will take place at 1pm on Sunday April 19th. County finals: Monday May 4th. (iii) The Scór organiser for the Tralee clubs is Tom Herlihy (Ballymac). This is a ‘big’ game! Coláiste Bhréanainn will play Coláiste Naomh Proinsias, Baile an Róistigh, in the other semi-final. (ii) Cispheil Faoi 19: Comhghairdeachas mór le David Burke agus cispheileadóirí Chnoc an tSeabhaic on their great All-Ireland final success v Coláiste Phádraig (Oileán Ciarraí). Bhí farasbarr de 17 bpointe ag leaideanna Thrá Lí. Imríodh an cluiche san Ionad Náisiúnta Chispheile i mBaile Átha Cliath. (Another All-Ireland medal for The Rock!) (iii) Frewen Cup (U16½): The Green CBS had a good win over Meánscoil na Trócaire, Cnoc an tSeabhaic, in the Frewen Cup competition last week i bPáirc Uí Chéirín-Uí Raithille, Bóthar na Trá. The Rock boys on The Green team: Armin Heinrich (captaen), Enda Cahill, Donnacha Sayers, Ben Quilter and Ruairí O’Connell. Our sympathies to the Mercy Mounthawk boys who gave of their best: Evan Foley (captain), Seán Hill, Caden O’ Mahony, Liam Carmody and Cillian Litchfield. Ten fine Rock players between both schools!! Ó, dá mbeidís go léir in aon scoil amháin! The CBS boys advanced to the the Munster semi-final in which they challenged Clonmel CBS on Wednesday (29th). Well done, boys! The other semi-final was between Coláiste Bhréanainn, Cill Airne, and Coláiste Phroinsias, Baile an Róistigh.

SCÓR na SINSEAR: Tralee area finals must be completed by March 6th. Senior Scór county finals will be held on Saturday March 14th. Times: quiz at 4pm and stage items at 5.30pm. The Munster finals will be held in Cappamore, County Limerick, on Saturday March 28th. All-Ireland finals will take place in the INEC, Killarney, at 3pm on April 25th.
CLUB SOCIAL: The ‘Rock & Rose Victory Social’ will take place at the Rose Hotel on Saturday 22nd February and tickets cost €35.
