PEIL FAOI 16: (i) Our last group game in this year’s Town League was played away last Sunday v Ardfert. A big ‘thank you’ to the five U14 lads who lined out for us in this game as we were struggling a little due to injuries and absenteeism. This competition has shown us that early mornings are not our strong point and the less said about our first half performance the better but we somehow we were on level terms at the break. The second half display showed more of our real ability and we began to move the ball with a lot more purpose and pace. We are far from the finished article but if we could manage about fifty minutes of high pace and high intensity football we’d prove a very difficult team for any opposition. Final score:- Ardfert: 2-11; Austin Stack Club: 4-11. (ii) Training: Wednesday evening at 6pm (sharp). (iii) The final has been scheduled for Sunday next (13th). Extra time will be played, más gá.
