OLD FOLKS: The Senior Citizens’ Party will be held in the Clubhouse on Sunday afternoon, with dinner being served at 2.30pm.
FAOI 6/8/10~ INDOOR SEASON: No…no…no football training will be held next Sunday as we will be holding our AGM and all parents are requested to attend this important meeting. We had a great crowd in Connolly Park last Sunday for the presentation of end-of-year certs.
ACADAMH NA gCAILÍNÍ: (i) All girls received certificates (in recognition of all their hard work throughout the season) on Sunday last in Connolly Park…a great occasion and a great crowd. (ii) Cailíní an Acadaimh are still waiting for the indoor season to begin but are keeping themselves occupied with other sports and various activities...mens sana in corpore sano! (iii) The Austin Stack Club Lady Footballers are running a draw for a Monster Luxury Christmas Hamper. €2 per entry. If you have not received a sponsorship card please contact Maurice on 086 3747642. (iv) A disco for the juvenile ladies is to be held in the Austin Stack clubhouse on Saturday 19th December from 7pm to 9pm. Ná bí as láthair! Parents are, of course, welcome to attend the bar! UNDER 14/15: A wonderful evening was had by all the Under 14 and Under 15 footballers in the Clubhouse on Saturday last. Club and Kerry Under 21 star, Barry Shanahan, was present to present medals to the Bordcheantar Thrá Lí champions of 2009. Juvenile Chairman, Tim McMahon, was, as usual, in charge of operations and had plenty of mentors at hand to see to the smooth running of the event. Adrienne McLoughlin arranged a fine display of “Memories of ‘o9”. Ger Reidy, Cathaoirleach, spoke glowingly of the young stars (and of their mentors) and looks forward to seeing them don the Black’n’Amber with distinction next year and for very many years to come…the future of the club is bright and further success awaits these stalwarts if they keep up the hard work! The victorious captains, Kyle Fitzgibbon and Danny Carroll, were (re)presented with the Coiste Thrá Lí trophies by Barry Shanahan. SAM MAGUIRE CUP: The Sam Maguire Cup will be at our club ar Lá an Dreoilín/Lá ‘le Stiofáin/St. Stephen’s Day.
SCÓR NA nÓG: The Kerry County Final of Scór na nÓg was held in the Gleneagle Hotel on Sunday last and was an outstanding success. Comhghairdeachas le Bailéadghrúpa na nGael a bhuaigh Craobh an Chontae.
SCÓR NA SINSEAR: Senior Scór (age 17 to 117 years!) will be held after Christmas. We need dancers for set or figure dance…interested?
FÉILIRE ’10: The club 2010 calendar can be purchased at Talbots’ “Spar”, Caherslee, at Siopa de Barra, Rock Street, and at the Clubhouse, Connolly Park.

THE GREEN~ FAOI 16½: The Green team defeated Rathmore in Rathmore in the semi-final of the Dunloe Cup competition. Our men on the panel: Tom McLoughlin, Shane Crowley, Johnny Nolan, Danny Carroll and Paddy Fitzgibbon. Fergus Clifford agus Marc Ó Sé atá i mbun na foirne.
CORN UÍ MHUIRÍ: The Tralee CBS v Abbey CBS (Tipperary) match was played on Wednesday, 2nd December, in Ballyagran, Cill Mocheallóg, Co. Limerick. Stacks’ representative Nicky O’Connell played well and scored 1-01. Shane O’Callaghan also played well when introduced as a substitute in the second half. Alan Crean was a non-playing ionadaí on the day. Final score: Tralee CBS: 2-16; Abbey CBS: 0-05. The Tralee boys have topped their group and are now through to the quarter final which will take place in the new year. An Fhaiche Abú!
O’SULLIVAN CUP: The Green was expected to play in the O’Sullivan Cup final against Coláiste na Sceilige, Cathair Saidhbhín, this week but the game has been deferred at the request of Jack O’Connor. Our men on the panel: Nicky, Shane and Alan.
HANDBALL: Under 11 and Under 13 Handball for PRIMARY SCHOOLS (boys/girls representing their schools) will be held in the Complex on Friday 18th December.
