Senior Ladies: Co. League Div 2 FT Stacks 2-10 Spa Killarney 2-13 – We played our opening game in the Co. League last Sunday morning in Connolly Park. At half time the sides were level at 0-7 a piece. It was nip and tuck throughout but a late goal by Spa would ensure the Killarney side took the points. This was a very good performance by our ladies who for a variety of reasons did not have regular training in the run up to the game,  so very much a case of onwards and upwards for this team. Team: Deborah Mangan, Sarah Fitzgerald, Norma O’ Connor, Gemma O’ Connor, Dakota Carter Flynn, Caitriona Horgan, Deidre O’ Shea, Karina Quilter, Aoife Dillane, Sarah Hoare, Mollie O’ Carroll, Caoimhe Barry Walsh, Leanne Hannifin, Marina Barry Walsh & Breda Slattery. Subs used – Lauren Barrett for Norma O’ Connor, Rachel Ryan for Leanne Hannifin & Chloe Dillion for Gemma O’ Connor. Our thanks to Jemma O’Connell, Karena Slattery & Maurice Mac Namara who looked after the team for the game. Our next Co. League game is away to Kilcummin provisionally fixed for this Sunday.
Thanks to Gene O’Donnell who guest coached an excellent training session with our Senior ladies & U16 girls in the ITT last Friday evening. The girls really enjoyed it and we appreciate Geno giving up his time to help us out.
