ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS: As is usually the case the Kerry Co. Board will be honouring the SF Co. Champions of 25 years ago during the Co. Championship Final on next Sunday fortnight (10th November). As we all know Stacks, under the captaincy of Pat Slattery, were the champions that year (1994) and as well as the function on that Sunday the Club will be having a double celebration in the Clubhouse on the night before the final (Saturday, 9th Nov) to honour not alone the 1994 Senior team but also the 1969 Co. MF Championship winning team of that year as well. Our Co. Board delegates, Eddie Barrett and Jim Naughton, are coordinating this event.
SCÓR: A further reminder that we are looking for performers in Solo Singing, Instrumental, Recitation and Novelty Acts/Comedy to represent the Club in both Scòr Sinsear (over 18s) & Scòr Na nÒg (over 13 & U17 on Jan 1st 2020). Rock St Post Office – Make Sure they Know You’re a Rockie!
Martin and Marie Williams of the Rock Post Office have set the Tralee GAA Clubs a task where the club whose supporters make the most transactions in the Rock Post Office from now until April 2020 will win the right to exclusively sell their Club Lotto Tickets there. The personal or work place/business transactions include purchase of stamp booklets, TV or Dog licence, registering a letter, one for all Gift Vouchers, mobile top ups, currency exchange, savings or even purchasing your Christmas stamps. Each transaction is worth points and the club with the most points will win the Lotto Franchise from April 2020.
We are circulating transaction points cards to members and these cards are also available to pick up in the Club bar or at the Rock St Post Office counter. If you don’t have a card, not to worry, simply if you are in the Post Office and making a transaction please give your club allegiance at the counter by saying ‘I’m a Rockie’!! and the Post Office will stamp one of the cards they have themselves and the transactions will be credited to Austin Stacks. This won’t cost you a penny but will really help the club as Lotto fundraising represents a large part of our annual club income. Be sure and spread the word to family, friends & employers – I’m A Rockie with every transaction!!
